Tonja is a new Certified Nurse Midwife, who passed her certification exam in December, 2008. Her patient focus is providing excellent healthcare across the lifespan to women. Tonja's graduate research project is titled, "Clinical Use of Hormone Therapy among Certified Nurse Midwives in the US." Although she completed her education in Washington, DC and Portland, OR, she has returned home to southeast Pennsylvania, where Tonja has family in the Philadelphia area.

Tonja's energy level is evident in her practice. Personally, she likes thrills, but not roller coasters! She is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying whitewater rafting and hiking. She likes reading, movies, and hanging with family and friends. Despite her busy schedule as a midwife, Tonja stays active in her church; in youth ministry, discipleship ministry, and choir.
